The Infinite Name Generator If the applet isn't responding, try clicking on it. Make sure you have the most recent version of Java installed. Welcome to the Infinite Name Generator, a resource for writers who seek an easy way to think of random names for their characters. Unlike most random name generators, this one does not use names from a pre-made library. Instead, it links a bunch of random letters together to make new, unique names. Use: You have your choice of options, if you want. You can specify how many letters you want in your name. You can also determine if you want your to begin with a vowel or consonant. In addition, you can enable double vowels (ae, ie) or consonants (br, fl), although double consonants only affect the beginning of words at the moment. When you have the options you want, click the "Get Name!" button, and a random name will appear. If it's not quite right, several variations of the name are also given. Please note that variations will not always follow the options you chose. This is to broaden the range of names available. Future Features: Double Consonants will work in the middle and ends of names. Triple consonants and/or vowels. Be able to specify letters/letter combinations you don't want. Enable/disable vowel and consonant repetition (Naran, Belle) |
